In the framework of the Third week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Embassy of Italy in Washington, together with the Italian Research Institute Georgetown College, organized a meeting on "SmartGrid for Urban Food Systems". The event included researchers from the Italian Research Council and from the Georgetown University and confirmed the interest in pursuing comparative case studies in Italian (e.g. Bari), and US cities (e.g Oakland and Boston) in order to evaluate the impact of a SmartGrid within these food systems.
